Honey Production

Step 1

Nectar Gathering

The bees begin the honey making process by leaving the hive, gathering nectar from flowers and plants, and bringing the nectar to the hive.

Step 2

Honey Frame

The bees fill the comb within the frame with nectar. When the nectar has been dehydrated, ultimately becoming honey, the bees then cap the comb with wax.

Step 3

Prepping the Comb for Removal

Once the frame becomes full, the frame must be prepped for removal of the honey. The frames must be de-capped with a de-capping tool before they are spun.

Step 4

Spinning

The frames are then placed into the centrifuge to spin the honey out of the comb. As the frames spin around the centrifuge, the honey is pushed out of the comb, dropping to the bottom of the tub.

Step 5

Draining and Filtering

The honey is then drained from the tub and filtered through cheese cloth. No additional processing is needed or done to Suzbees honey.

Step 6

Bottling

After the Honey is filtered, the honey is bottled and sold to our wonderful customers like you!
