Swarm Season

April and May are prime swarm season for the honey bee. When the queen decides her hive is outgrowing its home she will take half of her colony and move out looking for a new space. The bees left behind will create a new queen to keep their half of the colony going. If you see a large cluster of honey bees hanging around in a tree, fence or even your child slide don’t be afraid. They are just resting looking for a new home. Contact us and we will come and safely retrieve them. John 201-832-2630.
